Rapid Temps is seeking experienced Emergency Department Physicians to provide high-quality emergency medical care at Hopi Health Care Center (HHCC) in Polacca, Arizona. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a rural Tribal healthcare setting where your expertise will have a direct impact on an underserved patient population. The Emergency Department operates 24/7, offering opportunities for day, night, weekend, holiday, and urgent coverage assignments.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency and urgent care services, including patient assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, treatment, and disposition.
- Manage trauma, critical care, and high-acuity emergency cases in a limited-resource rural healthcare environment.
- Perform medical documentation and maintain accurate electronic health records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality assurance, credentialing, and compliance activities as required.
- Adhere to all HHCC clinical protocols, safety standards, and Tribal healthcare regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted physician license in any U.S. state
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Emergency Department experience

- Location: Hopi Health Care Center, Polacca, AZ
- Schedule: Variable shifts based on facility needs
- Department Coverage: 24/7 Emergency Department
- Housing: Government lodging is not provided. Housing options may be available in Winslow and surrounding communities.
