YCC supports individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence through safety, advocacy, and resources on their journey to safe and healthy lives.
GENERAL PURPOSE
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, responsible for the agency’s security, safety, and preventive & general building and grounds maintenance. Provide direct supervision and training of volunteers assigned to maintain building facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for security, safety, and overall maintenance and upkeep of YCC buildings and grounds.
- Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of main YCC building and Transitional Housing apartments. Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, light plumbing, minor carpentry, and basic repairs across all facilities.
- Provide technical support for agency telephone, computers, and security systems.
- Responsible for maintaining key and access card inventory; issuance and collection of keys and access cards to and from employees.
- Responsible for YCC vehicle keys, vehicle usage logs, gas, inspections, and general maintenance.
- Obtain bids for needed equipment and improvements to YCC. Act as a liaison between YCC and outside contractors, i.e., hire, schedule, oversee, and assist outside contractors, as needed.
- Maintain a cleaning supplies closet and order building supplies. Function as janitor/laborer when assistance is not available.
- Accountable for working within parameters of facilities budget. Provide required requisitions, receipts, and records to the finance department regarding expenditures.
- Responsible for the direct supervision and training of volunteers assigned to building maintenance projects.
- Provide agency-wide maintenance support to include heavy lifting; donation pick-up assistance; events assistance as needed. Haul off large and excess waste to the landfill, submit items to be sold online, as needed.
- Implement and update preventive maintenance program for all facilities and grounds.
- Attend training and in turn train and assist staff in regard to overall safety plans and emergency preparedness. Plan, schedule, and implement safety practice drills, i.e., fire, shelter in place, active shooter, etc., as required by the State and local laws.
- Perform room set up and tear-down before and after internal and public meetings.
- Represent YCC in a professional manner for all community agency, donor, and client support.
- Be available and on call 24/7 to assist center employees’ calls and concerns regarding facility emergencies.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures stated in the Employee Handbook and any applicable Policy and Procedure Manual.

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma or GED with experience in all types of building maintenance and general repairs.
- Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience, or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, as well as a safe driving record.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy including Google Suite.
- Exceptional time-management, planning, and administrative skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of diplomacy, sound judgment, and discretion when dealing with customers and other department staff.
- High degree of energy, self-motivation, and flexibility.
- Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.
- Demonstrated commitment to achieving the organization's goals and objectives.
- Ability to think strategically and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus on timeliness and responsiveness.

Pay: $46,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
