Job Summary

Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your dedication and skills will directly impact the well-being of our patients. In this vital role, you will provide essential daily care, support patient comfort, and assist nursing staff in delivering high-quality medical services. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for individuals across various care settings, including long-term care, acute hospitals, and community programs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your caregiving expertise while making a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and transfer methods to safely move patients with mobility challenges or during patient transfers.
Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff, including signs of distress or deterioration related to conditions such as dementia or infectious diseases.
Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or wound management to prevent infections.
Document all patient interactions thoroughly within medical records and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards.

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure.
Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (CPR) certification.
Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home care settings is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices and manual handling techniques.
Strong communication skills for caregiving tasks and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
