Lead the Future of Business Aviation Maintenance
Toledo Jet is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead our aircraft maintenance, avionics, and customer service operations. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and strategic growth of the organization while ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
The ideal candidate is a proven aviation leader with extensive experience in aircraft maintenance operations, team development, business growth, and customer relationship management. This individual will play a critical role in driving Toledo Jet's continued success and reputation as a premier provider of maintenance and avionics services.
Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of Toledo Jet's operations, including maintenance, avionics, quality assurance, customer service, sales, financial performance, and workforce development. This role works closely with ownership and department leaders to establish strategic goals, drive operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional service to customers.
The General Manager will foster a culture of accountability, safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement while ensuring the organization remains positioned for long-term growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
- Direct and oversee all maintenance, avionics, quality assurance, and support operations.
- Ensure operational efficiency, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments.
- Develop operational strategies that support company growth and profitability.
- Promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Business Growth & Customer Relations
- Develop and execute business development and growth initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with aircraft owners, operators, management companies, OEMs, and industry partners.
- Support sales and quoting efforts to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Identify new service offerings, market opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure a superior customer experience throughout all maintenance and avionics projects.
Financial Management
- Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Monitor revenue, labor utilization, profitability, and operating expenses.
- Drive operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review major project estimates, capital expenditures, and investment opportunities.
- Support ownership in achieving annual revenue and profitability goals.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Repair Station requirements, and company policies.
- Support quality assurance and safety management initiatives.
- Maintain a strong focus on risk management and operational compliance.
- Oversee preparation for FAA inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
- Ensure company manuals, procedures, and operational standards remain current and effective.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing employees.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to department managers and supervisors.
- Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning initiatives.
- Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Promote employee engagement, accountability, and professional development.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 10 years of aviation industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years of senior leadership or management experience.
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance operations, customer service, and business management.
- Demonstrated success managing budgets, operational performance, and personnel.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to build customer relationships and drive business growth.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Preferred
- Experience leading a Part 145 Repair Station.
- Experience supporting Part 135 operators and business aviation customers.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA).
- Background in aircraft maintenance, avionics, quality assurance, or maintenance management.
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with turbine and corporate aircraft operations.
