GenFed Financial Credit Union Branch Manager

Are you an energetic, charismatic individual who has proven management skills to lead yourself and your team to exceed sales goals and customer satisfaction goals?

Job Summary

The Branch Manager is responsible for leading a high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional member experiences, driving growth, and embracing our evolving role as a service and technology center. This role requires a coaching-forward mindset, a strong grasp of our organizational culture, and the ability to build a member-focused environment where development, performance, and fun coexist. The Branch Manager ensures operational excellence while helping members navigate key financial moments through a balanced approach of service, counseling, and technology.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Conducts weekly one-on-one check-ins and quarterly milestone conversations with each team member to support performance, engagement, and development using our strengths-based approach.

Duties and Responsibilities

Leads with emotional intelligence and creates a team culture aligned with the organization’s values.
Coaches, develops, and motivates team members to deliver wow-worthy service and reach individual and branch goals.
Ensures consistency in service delivery, sales practices, and operational procedures.
Drives growth by identifying member needs and ensuring all team members confidently discuss solutions and services.
Supports staff and handles complex member interactions with care and empathy.
Champions member education and digital adoption; acts as a technology counselor for products such as mobile apps, HSAs, IRAs, and loans.
Oversees branch audits, compliance tasks, and operational checkpoints (e.g., balancing drawers, collections, title work).
Promotes a fun, positive, and collaborative work environment.
Fosters community relationships and represents the branch at local events.
Maintains timely communication and ensures branch-wide engagement with updates and initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Minimum three years of branch experience, including one year in a leadership role (Assistant Branch Manager preferred).
Proven experience coaching others to achieve goals and enhance performance.
Familiarity with financial products, digital tools, and member counseling practices.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
