Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Decorate donuts
- Operate POS systems such as clover POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Manage food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating spaces to ensure a welcoming environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems; perform retail math for daily cash balancing
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed for quick service
Experience
- Previous barista experience in a café or food service setting is highly preferred
- Pastry, icing, and donut experience a plus.
- Familiarity with coffee industry standards and serving techniques
- Experience operating POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
