Full Job Description

Adanech Corporation is seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time Foster Care Coordinator to support our foster care and adoption program. This position works under the supervision of the agency's full-time Case Manager to help recruit, support, and retain foster families while ensuring compliance with Ohio Department of Children and Youth (ODCY) licensing standards.

Position Summary

The Foster Care Coordinator provides administrative, recruitment, licensing, and family support services to licensed foster families and prospective foster parents. This role assists with maintaining licensing records, coordinating training, recruiting foster families, and ensuring documentation is completed accurately and timely.

This position does not replace the responsibilities of the assigned Case Manager but serves as a support role to improve service delivery and agency responsiveness.

Essential Responsibilities

Assist with recruiting prospective foster and adoptive families.
Respond to inquiries from prospective foster parents.
Schedule orientation sessions and informational meetings.
Coordinate foster parent training and maintain training records.
Maintain foster home licensing files and compliance documentation.
Assist with annual recertification paperwork.
Monitor required documentation and licensing deadlines.
Coordinate fingerprinting, medical forms, references, and background checks.
Prepare licensing packets and maintain electronic and paper files.
Assist with matching placement referrals to available foster homes.
Conduct welcome visits and orientation for newly licensed foster families.
Maintain regular communication with foster parents regarding agency updates and training opportunities.
Assist with agency events, recruitment fairs, and community outreach.
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and compliance documentation.
Assist with quality assurance and licensing audits.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, Ohio Administrative Code, and agency policy.
Perform other duties assigned by the Program Director or Case Manager.

Preferred Duties

Participate in foster home support visits.
Assist during emergency placements.
Coordinate respite services.
Assist with placement documentation.
Support foster parent retention initiatives.
Help organize appreciation events and recognition programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
Relevant experience in child welfare, foster care, social services, education, or human services preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to maintain confidential records.
Valid Ohio driver's license with reliable transportation.
Ability to travel throughout Southwest Ohio as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with foster care, adoption, child welfare, or developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of Ohio foster care licensing requirements.
Experience with SACWIS, Ohio SACWIS, or other case management systems.
Customer service or recruitment experience.
Event planning or community outreach experience.
