Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in accordance with facility policies and professional nursing standards.
Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients while developing and implementing individualized plans of care.
Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other prescribed treatments accurately and safely.
Monitor patient responses and communicate changes promptly to physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, pharmacists, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, CMS regulations, and state Board of Nursing requirements.
Adapt quickly to new clinical environments while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.
Float to appropriate units within the scope of competency as required by the healthcare facility.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, or specialty certifications as required by assignment.
Minimum of one year of recent clinical experience in the applicable specialty (two years preferred for some assignments).
Previous travel nursing experience is welcomed but not required.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to new facilities, workflows, and patient populations.
Experience using major EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or Medhost is preferred.
Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
