Full Job Description

Zimmer Law Firm has an opening for one or more experienced Ohio probate paralegals to assist with probate estate administration. We are located in Cincinnati, in the Blue Ash suburb. The firm was founded in 1993, and has limited its practice to estate planning, estate settlement, and Medicaid planning since then.

This flexible part-time opportunity offers approximately 15–20 hours per week initially, with the possibility of additional hours. Hybrid remote work is available following a brief orientation. We are open to discussing either a part-time employment relationship or independent contractor relationship with the right candidate.

Responsibilities will include:

Opening decedent estates
Probate court inventories
Probate court fiduciary accounts
Client interaction
Estate asset collection
Other matters routine in probate estates

Technology That Supports Our Team

We utilize the EstateAssist application as a key part of our probate administration process. Experience with EstateAssist is a plus, but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate on our software and procedures. We also utilize other widely used, modern technology that helps our team members work efficiently at their highest and best skills.

Qualifications

Paralegal experience with probate, wills, trusts, and estate administration; direct client contact preferred
Strong knowledge of probate process, estate administration, and related procedural law
Legal administrative experience with filing, data entry, proofreading, and transcription
Familiarity with EstateAssist or similar probate estate management systems
Demonstrated ability to produce accurate dependable work with minimal supervision
Ability to multitask in a hybrid remote, part-time schedule; strong communication and interview skills
