Full Job Description

Position Title: Senior Accountant

Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles

Education: Degree in Accounting required. Oracle NetSuite & ERP system integration knowledge strongly desired

Job Summary: Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the Company. They are responsible for analysis, reporting, and timely month end close. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of progressive accounting experience and a strong understanding of financial principles and regulations. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Month-end and Year-end Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Review accounts payable processing and accounts receivables collections as required and provide payroll backup as needed.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Monitor variances between actual and budgeted/forecasted amounts and provide explanations as needed.
Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Participate in internal and external audits.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function. Implement best practices and streamline workflows where applicable.
Taxes: Files Sales, Commercial Activity Tax, Business and Occupation, and property tax.
Other: Act as payroll back-up and other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite and ERP systems integration strongly desired.
3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management roles.
Strong interpersonal skills with developed process change experience.
In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions: The role is a 100% in-office position. They may be required to work extended hours during peak periods or to meet deadlines.

Base Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
