Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall maintenance of our hospitality or commercial facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive custodial and cleaning expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. As the Lead Housekeeper, you will manage a team of cleaning staff, ensure compliance with sanitation regulations, and uphold exceptional customer service standards to create a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations across all designated areas, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
Must have 2 years of supervisory experience.
Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and sanitation procedures aligned with industry best practices.
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens; manage procurement to ensure availability without excess waste.
Enforce safety regulations and sanitation standards to protect staff health and guest safety in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Conduct regular inspections to assess cleanliness quality, identify areas for improvement, and address any deficiencies promptly.
Collaborate with management to plan for special events or peak periods requiring additional housekeeping support.

Skills

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year of Housekeeping Supervisor experience, preferably in a similar Senior Living community setting or a hotel setting.

Extensive experience in custodial work with a strong background in industrial and commercial cleaning environments.
Proven supervisory experience managing teams within hospitality or custodial settings.
Knowledge of sanitation procedures, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management practices.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills for effective team supervision and management.
Customer service orientation with the ability to address guest or client concerns professionally.
Familiarity with laundry operations, janitorial supplies, and equipment maintenance.
Ability to organize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
