Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bandsaw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating bandsaw equipment to cut various materials accurately and efficiently, supporting our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to high-quality fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Operate bandsaw machines safely and efficiently to cut metal, wood, or other materials according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine cutting requirements.
- Set up and adjust bandsaw equipment, including blade tension, guides, and stops for precise cuts.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and inspecting blades for wear or damage.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure cuts meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety protocols.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished parts to verify accuracy and adherence to specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating bandsaw machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Mechanical knowledge of machining tools such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and stamping presses is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to machine operation and material handling.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during setup and inspection processes.
- Knowledge of tooling, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and quality inspection techniques is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination.
