Full Job Description

The Outside Sales Representataive is responsible for driving sales through direct interactions with customers in the field. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and representing the company's products or services to customers in person. The Field Sales Representative is a key player in achieving sales targets, increasing customer satisfaction, and expanding the company's market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation- Identify potential customers through research, outbound calls, emails, and social media engagement. Generate new leads for the sales team by building relationships with prospective clients.

Prospecting- Conduct outreach to potential clients via cold calls, emails, and networking to introduce the company's products or services. Qualify inbound leads by assessing their needs and readiness to buy.

Market Research- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.

Lead Qualification- Assess prospects to determine if they meet the company's ideal customer profile. Qualify leads by understanding their needs, budgets, and decision-making process.

Pipeline Management- Maintain and manage a database of leads in the CRM system. Ensure accurate and timely entry of lead and prospect information into the system.

DIrect Sales- Meet or exceed sales targets by visiting customers in person, presenting products or services, and closing sales. Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.

Customer Relationship Management- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing personalized customer service, handling inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Territory Management- Manage assigned sales territory by organizing and prioritizing customer visits, follow-ups, and field activities. Ensure that all potential customers in the territory are being serviced effectively.

Product Knowledge- Develop a deep understading of the company's products and services. Provide customers with product demonstrations, technical specifications, and recommendations tailored to their needs.

Market and Competitor Analysis- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Provide feedback to the company regarding customer needs and market conditions.

Sales Reporting- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline updates in the CRM system. Report regularly on sales performance and progress toward targets.

Negotiation and Closing- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to maximize profitability. Ensure that all deals align with the company's policies and goals.

Collaboration- Work closely with the internal sales team, marketing, and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and align efforts to grow the business.

Travel- Travel to customer sites regularly, with occasional overnight trips depending on the size of the sales territory.

Qualifications:

Education- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or a related field preferred, but equivalent work experience is also acceptable.

Experience- Experience in field sales, direct sales, or a related customer facing role is a plus. Experience in overhead crane industry is a plus.

Sales Skills- Strong selling, negotiation, and closing skills. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

Communication Skills- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to engage with clients and present solutions effectively.

Interpersonal Skills- Ability to build rapport quickly with customers and maintain strong relationships. Must be outgoing, personable, and motivated.

Self-Starter- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Resilience- Able to handle rejection and remain focused on achieving goals. Must be persistent in follow-up and problem- solving.
