Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a receptionist to join our growing Retinal practice’s front office team. The ideal candidate is courteous, personable, and professional. If you’re a problem solver with a gift for making things run smoothly and alleviating patient concerns, please apply. The receptionist is the point of contact for all patient appointments, either made by phone or in person, must be a team player, and be able to efficiently work on a computer. Customer service is our number one priority. Salary is based on experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Scheduling appointments.
Obtain demographics, and financial information, and enter them into the EMR system.
Scan all insurance cards and driver's licenses.
Collect co-pays and balances.
Greet patients to support a welcoming environment.
Accurately process financial transactions.
Referral assistance and turnaround time management
Cross training support
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
File medical records.
Other clerical tasks as required by the physicians.
Problem solving
Handle incoming calls professionally, directing them appropriately and providing information as needed.
Must be able to travel to other office locations as needed, likely 1-3 times per week depending on provider schedule.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a medical office is preferred but not required
Basic computer skills.
Excellent phone communication skills.
Ability to work independently and multi-task.
