Sales Consultant – Lawn Care & Outdoor Pest Solutions

This is a consultative sales position focused on evaluating residential properties and recommending customized lawn care and outdoor pest solutions. This is not a lawn mowing, landscaping, or lawn maintenance position.

Lawn Doctor of Johnson County is looking for an energetic, customer-focused Sales Representative to help homeowners achieve healthier, more beautiful lawns through customized lawn care and outdoor pest control solutions.

As the local owner of a nationally recognized brand, we believe every lawn deserves a tailored approach—not a one-size-fits-all program. You'll meet with homeowners, evaluate their properties, educate them on the best solutions for their specific needs, and build long-term customer relationships based on trust and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-person lawn evaluations and provide customized recommendations for lawn care, tree & shrub care, mosquito control, perimeter pest control, flea & tick control, and seeding services.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the customer base throughout Johnson County.
Respond promptly to inbound leads while actively generating new business through referrals, networking, community events, and neighborhood marketing.
Build long-term relationships with customers through exceptional communication, honesty, and follow-up.
Understand and confidently communicate Lawn Doctor's services, patented products, proprietary technologies, and competitive advantages.
Prepare professional proposals and close sales while ensuring customers fully understand the recommended services.
Collaborate with operations to ensure a seamless transition from the sales process to service delivery.
Attend local community events and represent Lawn Doctor within the communities we proudly serve.
Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within the company's CRM and sales management systems.
Stay informed on industry trends, local competitors, and new technologies to continually improve customer recommendations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in outside sales, consultative sales, or business development preferred.
Proven ability to build trust and develop long-term customer relationships.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify technical information for homeowners.
Excellent negotiation and closing skills with a customer-first mindset.
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.
Experience using CRM or sales management software is preferred.
Knowledge of lawn care, agronomy, horticulture, landscaping, or pest control is helpful but not required. We will provide comprehensive training.
Reside in Johnson County, KS
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
