Full Job Description

Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

Responsibilities

Record financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
Enter journal entries and reconcile accounts
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Assist with preparing financial and audit reports
Review financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Maintain organized records and documentation
Support the accounting team with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
Strong communication skills in both English and Gujarati
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
1–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply

Preferred Skills

Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Basic knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Comfortable using a 10-key calculator and standard office equipment
