Full Job Description

Outside Sales Representative

Opened in Spring 2024, Ellicottville Bake Shop has quickly become a community favorite, known for its fresh, delicious offerings and warm, inviting atmosphere. With operations expanding to include the Alpine Bistro (located in the former Adventure Bound space), we are continuing to grow and are seeking a motivated, highly self-sufficient, and organized individual to help grow our wholesale, catering, and private event business.

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, relationship-focused, and excited to play a key role in expanding our presence throughout the region.

Responsibilities:

Develop and grow wholesale, catering and private event accounts.
Conduct ongoing market research, including competitors, venues, wedding and event spaces, shirt-term rental properties, ski resorts, campgrounds, and other relevant markets.
Travel throughout Ellicottville and surrounding areas, including Springville, Olean, Bradford, Hamburg, Orchard Park, and nearby communities.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through in-person meetings, phone calls, and email outreach.
Maintain strong product knowledge across baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, and related offerings, including production processes and capabilities.
Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure offerings align with production capacity and scheduling.
Adapt to a flexible schedule based on client availability and business needs.

Requirements:

College degree is preferred.
Previous outside sales experience with demonstrated success in developing and maintaining client relationships.
Experience in event coordination, event sales, or event booking is a plus.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and effectively manage a sales territory.
Professional, polished appearance and demeanor with strong customer service skills.
Ability to build relationships, identify new business opportunities, and close sales.
Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation (a company vehicle is available for use, but there may be times where your own vehicle will be required).
