Job Summary:
This position delivers comprehensive victim assistance services, including trauma‑informed advocacy, safety planning, and supportive guidance to survivors of crime. The role ensures survivors receive the resources, respect, and individualized care needed to navigate their path toward healing and security.

Education & Experience:
- Associate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, Law Enforcement, or a related field required; relevant direct client service experience may substitute.
- Must complete all required job training, including the NYS Department of Health Rape Crisis Counselor Certification, and maintain documentation of ongoing in‑service training plus 10 additional hours annually.
- Must pass all relevant criminal justice including NYS Justice Center- Staff Exclusion List; NYS Central Register; local, state, and federal background checks and virtual fingerprinting; DRU SJODIN Nation Sex Offender Registry.
Skill Requirements:
- Must have valid driver’s license, insurability, and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, networking, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and certification to ensure delivery of current, effective services.
- Proven ability to professionally manage crises during when supporting survivors and working with community stakeholders.
- Understanding of Trauma Informed Care and the ability to operate within an empathic, person-centered framework.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide holistic, person‑centered case management and advocacy for primary and secondary victims of sexual assault, interpersonal violence, family violence, and other crimes.
- Serve as Advocate On‑Call, responding to hotline and in‑person emergencies within Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties.
- Conduct individualized assessments and develop safety and goal plans using evidence‑based, trauma‑informed, and innovative approaches for survivors of complex trauma.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies throughout Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties to coordinate comprehensive services for survivors.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including time and service logs, assessments, partnership activities, training records, service delivery notes, program outcomes, and all other required reports.
- Manage a flexible schedule and maintain clear, consistent communication with supervisors while keeping an updated calendar.
- Document accurate time and mileage associated with job responsibilities.
- Perform all duties in accordance with CCA standards and applicable state, federal, and funding‑source regulations (including VOCA, VAWA, NYS OCFS Domestic Violence Regulations, and NYS DOH Rape Crisis Standards).
- Report any unsafe or concerning situations promptly to a supervisor.
- Uphold and promote CCA’s mission and values in all community interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program and agency operations.
