Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring a positive experience for potential tenants while maximizing occupancy rates. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, excellent customer relationship management abilities, and a thorough understanding of property maintenance and leasing laws.

Duties

Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
Assist in the application process, including screening applicants and verifying information.
Negotiate lease terms and conditions to secure favorable agreements for both the property owner and tenants.
Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities using property management software such as OneSite.
Upsell additional services and amenities to enhance tenant satisfaction and increase revenue.
Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, utilizing conflict management skills to resolve issues effectively.
Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
Stay informed about Section 8 housing regulations and assist eligible applicants in the leasing process.
Provide administrative support related to leasing activities, including preparing lease documents and maintaining tenant files.

Experience

Proven experience in sales or a customer service role, preferably within the real estate or property management industry.
Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and relevant laws governing leasing practices.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus.
Knowledge of OneSite or similar property management software is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on building relationships with clients and tenants.
