Job Summary
The University of Olivet is seeking a creative, strategically-minded Multimedia Designer & Content Producer to join our Marketing team. This role is designed for a digital-first creator with a strong foundation in graphic design, visual hierarchy, and brand continuity. We require a multimedia talent who can take a single marketing concept and build a cohesive visual campaign across our website, social media, email, and digital ads.
Key Responsibilities
• Campaign & Brand Continuity: Translate overarching university marketing strategies into cohesive, multi-channel visual campaigns. Ensure a consistent look, feel, and voice across all digital touchpoints (web, social, email, and digital ads).
- Digital Asset Design: Design and produce high-quality digital assets rooted in solid design principles.
- Multimedia Production: Script, shoot, and edit short-form and mid-form video content and capture high-quality campus photography, ensuring all visual content aligns with Olivet's brand guidelines.
- On-Campus Event Coverage: Attend campus events, games, classes, etc., to capture real time content and transform raw footage into polished, brand-compliant digital assets.
- Audience-Centric Storytelling: Understand and design for our key audiences, including prospective students, current students, parents, and alumni, tailoring the visual approach to resonate with each demographic.
- Integrated Print Support: Utilize your design foundation to occasionally support hybrid campaigns that include print collateral, ensuring seamless cross-media brand alignment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2–4 years of professional experience or a portfolio that demonstrates equivalent capability in graphic design, digital marketing, or multimedia production with a portfolio that demonstrates comprehensive campaign execution.
- Design & Brand Acumen: Brings not just clean execution but can create materials that resonate with Gen Z and is not afraid to take design risks that are outside the box.
- Technical Skills: Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Figma or Canva for team-shared assets is a plus.
- Equipment Savvy: Comfort operating DSLR/mirrorless cameras, mobile shooting rigs, audio mics, and basic lighting setups for field production.
- Print Experience (a plus): A foundational understanding of print design (bleeds, CMYK, file prep) is valued to assist with integrated marketing initiatives.
