The Emergency Medical Services Program Manager A supports the program chairs in actively working to eliminate barriers that impede the success of our most marginalized students, especially Black and Brown students. The incumbent must be able to interact effectively with a diverse campus community of students, staff, and faculty while demonstrating a strong commitment to customer service. All interactions are expected to foster a sense of belonging, ensure individuals feel heard, and provide clear communication regarding next steps. System processes are continually evaluated to identify opportunities to eliminate systemic barriers to equal opportunity.
The Emergency Medical Services Program Manager A reports to the Chair of the Emergency Medical Technician Program and requires regular, consistent attendance. The employee's responsibilities are driven by the operational needs of the Basic Life Support (Emergency Medical Technician) and Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) programs. Primary responsibilities include budget monitoring and maintenance; providing administrative support to Program Chairs, faculty, staff, and students; and serving as the primary liaison between the programs and internal and external entities.
This position works primarily at the Fort Steilacoom campus and requires successful collaboration with faculty, students, and staff. The incumbent also regularly interacts with public agencies and members of the community to support the college's mission of creating quality educational opportunities for a diverse community of learners to thrive in an evolving world.

Terms of Employment
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) classified, overtime-eligible position with Pierce College District. This position is permanent after serving a 6-month probationary period. The primary work location will be at Pierce College, Fort Steilacoom campus. Occasional travel to Pierce College campuses or sites may occur.
Work hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekend work, and occasional travel as required. This position may be subject to reassignment between campuses or sites. This position may be eligible for occasional remote work once the incumbent is established in the role. Regular and consistent attendance is required.
Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $59,760.00 - $71,136.00 annually, depending on qualifications, with periodic increments up to $72,900.00 annually.
However, your paycheck is just part of the total compensation package. There is an outstanding benefits package which is worth an additional value equivalent to about 30% of your salary. Physical Work Environment
This position is required to work indoors in an open office environment, which requires visual concentration on detail, dexterity, precision, and is subject to frequent noise and interruptions.
