Right now, we are on the lookout for a dynamic and motivated Cannabis Processor Lab Manager to join our vibrant team. This essential role involves overseeing the daily operations of our cutting-edge cannabis processing lab, specializing in BHO and rosin extraction. As the Lab Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the systems that allow our lab to operate safely, efficiently, and profitably. This position is perfect for someone hands-on and process-oriented, adept at identifying challenges, crafting solutions, and taking ownership of projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for lab operations.
- Oversee and document BHO and rosin processing procedures, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to production standards.
- Monitor production data, yields, inventory, inputs, outputs, and other essential laboratory metrics.
- Maintain precise records and documentation in compliance with I-502 regulations and requirements.
- Keep the laboratory organized, clean, safe, and ready for audits.
- Manage inventory levels for cannabis, solvents, packaging supplies, equipment, and other production materials.
- Identify inefficiencies and initiate processes that enhance productivity, visibility, accountability, and profitability.
- Support scheduling and coordination of production activities.
- Engage with customers regarding toll-processing projects, including receiving specifications, providing updates, coordinating timelines, and meeting customer expectations.
- Aid in quality control and troubleshooting throughout the processing workflow.- Collaborate closely with ownership and management to discover avenues for revenue growth, cost reduction, and process improvement.
- Participate in developing systems and procedures that facilitate effective scaling of the company.
- Train and mentor employees on laboratory procedures, SOPs, safety practices, and compliance regulations.

What We're Looking For:
- Prior experience in a licensed cannabis processing facility is preferred.
- A strong understanding of cannabis extraction and processing, particularly with BHO and/or rosin.
- Familiarity with Washington State I-502 cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to create clear, practical SOPs and ensure they are followed.
- Comfort with production data, spreadsheets, inventory systems, and reporting.- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- A self-starter who can take ownership of responsibilities and work independently.- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Capability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- A willingness to be hands-on and ready to assist wherever needed.
- Must be 21 years or older and eligible to work in a Washington State I-502 cannabis facility.
