Tax Preparer – ATAX Omaha

Location: Bellevue, NE (work performed at our Omaha office)
Pay: $17 – $25 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: 32–40 hours/week; flexible; some weekends during Tax Season
Work Location: In-person (Omaha office)

About the Role

ATAX Omaha is seeking a Tax Processing Agent to work primarily with clients in the Bellevue area. Based in our Omaha office, you’ll prepare accurate individual and business tax returns while supporting a friendly, client-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare individual and business tax returns
Meet with clients to gather information and explain tax matters
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to IRS guidelines
Assist with documents, forms, and basic tax-related inquiries
Deliver a professional and helpful client experience

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of tax preparation experience
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under deadlines
Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., Drake Tax preferred)
Positive, enthusiastic personality and a desire to grow
