Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Housekeeper/Laundry Worker, where your energy and attention to detail will create a welcoming environment for our guests. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the property, ensuring guest satisfaction and safety. Your proactive approach and dedication will contribute to a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. This paid position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your skills in hotel housekeeping and janitorial services within a vibrant hospitality setting.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
Handle laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and efficiency
Maintain floor care by vacuuming carpets, mopping hard surfaces, and ensuring all flooring is spotless and safe for guests and staff
Follow safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical handling to ensure safe use of cleaning agents and prevent accidents
Conduct sanitation procedures in accordance with hotel standards and emergency protocols to uphold hygiene excellence
Assist with janitorial tasks such as waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards
Support hotel housekeeping management by adhering to schedules, reporting maintenance issues, and maintaining safety procedures

Requirements

Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture or large laundry loads
Knowledge of cleaning techniques including vacuuming, floor cleaning, and chemical agent handling
Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety at all times
Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout shifts
