We’re partnering with our client a well-established legal team seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal who can step in and make an immediate impact. This is a hands-on role supporting attorneys in a fast-moving practice where precision, organization, and follow-through matter.
What You’ll Be Doing
This role sits at the center of the action—supporting cases from intake through resolution while keeping everything organized and moving forward.
- Prepare and file proofs of claim and support bankruptcy filings
- Monitor bankruptcy dockets and track case activity
- Draft pleadings, discovery, and legal correspondence for attorney review
- Assist with loan documents, promissory notes, and security agreements
- Handle UCC searches and filings and manage lien documentation
- Support trustee sale processes (Notices of Default, Sale, Deeds of Trust, etc.)
- Prepare and manage post-judgment collections (garnishments, levies, etc.)
- Conduct legal research, lien searches, and public record reviews
- Communicate with clients to provide status updates and case progress
- Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years of experience in bankruptcy and/or creditors’ rights
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and court filings
- Experience with UCC filings, collections, and bankruptcy processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal/litigation software
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while staying aligned with a team
