Lead a High-Performing Sales Team at One of the Midwest's Premier Luxury Portrait Studios
Megan Michael Photography is looking for an experienced Booking Manager to lead our booking department and help drive the continued growth of our luxury portrait studio.
This is not an administrative scheduling position.
We are looking for an experienced manager and sales leader who knows how to coach people, improve performance, build systems, and lead a team to consistently exceed goals. Our studio specializes in luxury family, children, pet, beauty, and boudoir photography experiences. We are a fast-growing company with a strong culture focused on exceptional client experiences, accountability, continuous improvement, and achieving ambitious goals.
Position Summary
The Booking Manager is responsible for leading and developing our booking team while ensuring the studio consistently maintains a full and profitable schedule.
This position requires someone with a strong background in both management and sales. The ideal candidate understands how to build and lead a high-performing sales team, improve conversion rates, coach objection handling, motivate employees, and create systems that consistently turn warm leads into booked appointments.
You will oversee the day-to-day performance of our booking department, coach team members through real sales conversations, analyze KPIs, improve booking processes, and ensure every client receives an exceptional luxury experience from their very first interaction.
Work Location
This position is based out of our luxury portrait studio in Gretna, Nebraska.
This is a hybrid position, requiring a combination of in-studio leadership and remote work.
The Booking Manager must be available to work on-site for team meetings, coaching sessions, trainings, leadership meetings, and collaboration while also having the flexibility to work remotely for administrative work, reporting, and management responsibilities.
What You'll DoLead the Booking Team
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing booking team
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new booking specialists
- Conduct weekly team meetings and ongoing coaching
- Hold regular one-on-one performance meetings
- Create a positive, competitive, and accountable sales culture
- Recognize top performers and coach struggling team members toward success
- Hold employees accountable to KPIs and company expectations
Drive Sales Performance
- Own the performance of the booking department
- Improve lead-to-booking conversion rates
- Coach objection handling and closing techniques
- Help team members confidently communicate the value of our luxury photography experience
- Review recorded calls and provide actionable coaching
- Improve booking percentages through training, accountability, and process improvements
- Ensure the team consistently follows up with every qualified lead
Manage the Sales Pipeline
- Monitor lead response times
- Ensure consistent follow-up with every inquiry
- Review aging leads and develop re-engagement strategies
- Help maintain a full studio schedule
- Monitor appointment availability and booking trends
- Ensure CRM records remain accurate and organized
Develop Sales Processes
- Improve booking scripts and sales conversations
- Develop email and text templates
- Improve follow-up systems
- Create new training materials
- Implement best practices that improve booking conversion while maintaining an exceptional client experience
Reporting & Accountability
Track and report department performance including:
- Booking goals
- Conversion rates
- Calls per hour
- Bookings per hour
- Lead response time
- Follow-up compliance
- Pipeline activity
- Individual performance
- Team performance
- Forward booking percentages
Provide leadership with recommendations based on measurable performance data.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of management experience, preferably leading a sales or customer-facing team
- Minimum 3 years of professional sales experience
- Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Experience coaching and developing employees
- Strong phone sales and consultative sales experience
- Excellent objection handling and closing skills
- Experience working in a KPI-driven environment
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze numbers and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable giving direct feedback and holding team members accountable
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly desirable:
- Luxury retail
