A Brief Overview
Plan, analyze, design, test, implement and maintain laboratory Beaker applications. Researches and corrects system and user problems. Works with various primary care clinics, specialty departments, ancillary department or inpatient units to support practice and implement changes as needed to the existing systems.
Essential Functions
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, medical profession (Medical Laboratory Scientist), or related field, experience may be substituted for education is required
Graduate of the emerging leaders program or leadership certification from a national organization preferred

Experience Qualifications
Minimum 4 years' experience in EPIC Beaker, laboratory field, Data Innovation rule build, EPIC Beaker Clinical Pathology required
Skills and Abilities
- Strong technical knowledge of Information Technology, focusing on laboratory application development and support.
- Must be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of graphics software, networks, hardware and operating systems
- Skill in use of MS Office applications.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to act as a leader within the team, coordinating multiple projects at once and collaborating activities within the team.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a coaching mentor to application analysts to help develop analysis framework and knowledge of information processes using industry standard techniques
Ability to be self-directed, with minimum supervision, and strong attention to detail required

Licenses and Certifications
- Incumbents with a professional license must possess and maintain a current/valid license in the state of Nebraska or compact state license (i.e. ASCP, RN, RT, MA etc.) preferred
- Job related accreditation(s)/certification(s)in Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology required
