Full Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant/Medical receptionist to become a part of our busy dermatology office! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:

Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
Rooming patients
Assisting physician with procedures
Administering injections
Registers new patients with complete and accurate demographics according to procedure
Verifies patient's insurance eligibility and benefits at each visit
Updates patients' charts so that the information is entered correctly
Scans documents into the electronic medical record as directed.
Completes work daily to compile missing demographic and insurance information for billing purposes
Answer phones taking patient demographic information
Swing in the back office as needed

Requirements for Position:

Must be compliant with HIPAA standards
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
Must be a team player
Must demonstrate good judgment and reasoning skills
Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
Rooming patients
Assisting physician with procedures
Administering injections
CMA or RMA certification
Good attendance and reliability is required
Candidates are expected to arrive at the interview wearing professional business attire
Candidates are expected to bring a copy of their resume, references, etc., to the interview
Electronic Medical Records experience is a plus!

Required Education:

High school or equivalent

Required Language:

English

Required License or Certification:

Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Knowledge:

Must have high school diploma
Excellent skills in communication, listening, customer service and organization
Experience in medical software
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work accurately and efficiently
Be dependable and work well as a team

Compensation commensurate with experience.
