Full Job Description

Project Manager II (Direct Hire)

Location: Omaha, NE (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Flexible start time available)
Salary: $75,000-$95,000 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing and engineering client that has an immediate direct-hire opening for a Project Manager II in Omaha, Nebraska. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project manager who enjoys leading complex projects from initial bid through final delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Position Summary

The Project Manager II is responsible for managing multiple projects through their full lifecycle, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer expectations. This role works closely with Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Service, Installation, and Accounting to successfully deliver projects while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Manage projects from bid through closeout, ensuring timely execution and successful delivery.
Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans.
Review and negotiate contracts in collaboration with Sales and Business Development teams.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and performance, providing regular updates to leadership.
Coordinate project documentation and ensure compliance with established PMO processes.
Lead customer meetings, including project kickoffs, status reviews, negotiations, and project closeouts.
Facilitate communication between internal departments to ensure project success.
Support bid management activities, including scheduling, review meetings, and approvals.
Assist with continuous improvement of project management processes and standards.
Promote company quality and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget objectives.
Experience reviewing and negotiating contractual terms and conditions.
Strong communication, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software (MS Project preferred).
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
PMP certification is a plus but not required.
Bilingual or multilingual skills (Spanish, French, German, or Mandarin) are a plus.

Travel

Up to 25% travel, including occasional international travel and weekend travel as project demands require.
