An established, growing quick-service restaurant organization is looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead a group of high-volume quick-service restaurants. This is a hands-on, highly visible leadership position for an experienced multi-unit operator who enjoys being in the restaurants, developing managers, driving standards, and delivering strong business results. The Area Manager will work closely with ownership, with significant responsibility and influence over day-to-day operations and the continued development of the business. Regular travel between restaurant locations is required.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of the performance of multiple restaurant locations while coaching and supporting General Managers to successfully lead their businesses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain a consistent and visible presence across restaurant locations
- Lead, coach, and develop General Managers and their leadership teams
- Work closely with ownership on business priorities, performance, and execution
- Drive sales, profitability, labor, food cost, and key operational KPIs
- Hold managers accountable for operational standards, people development, and results
- Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, safety, and customer experience
- Identify operational or performance issues quickly and drive solutions
- Recruit, retain, and develop strong management teams
- Build succession plans and develop future leaders
- Conduct regular restaurant visits and performance reviews
- Translate financial and operational data into clear actions at restaurant level
- Provide hands-on leadership and support during key business periods
- Ensure company, brand, and food-safety standards are consistently maintained
- Travel regularly between locations based on business needs
About You
You are a hands-on operator and strong people leader who understands that successful multi-unit leadership cannot be done from behind a desk.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Proven multi-unit leadership experience in quick service, fast food, restaurants, or high-volume hospitality
- A track record of improving operational and financial performance
- Experience coaching, developing, and holding General Managers accountable
- Strong understanding of P&L, labor, food cost, sales, and restaurant KPIs
- High operational standards and strong attention to detail
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- The maturity and judgment to work closely and collaboratively with ownership
- A strong sense of urgency and commitment to the customer experience
- Flexibility to work around the needs of restaurant operations
The Right Fit
The right person leads from the front and wants to be where the business happens. You’re comfortable reviewing results with ownership, coaching a General Manager, walking in a restaurant to identify opportunities, and being present when a team needs additional leadership. You know how to develop strong managers without taking over their restaurants, and you understand how to balance people, operations, and financial performance. This opportunity offers competitive compensation, performance-based incentives, benefits, and the ability to have a meaningful and highly visible impact on a growing restaurant organization.
All inquiries and applications will be handled confidentially.
