Position Overview:
The Scan Tech CAs primarily focus on patient appointments. This role can be thought of as a liaison between the Front Desk and the Doctor from a clinical perspective and as a Patient Advocate from a Practice Member perspective. This position is critical to clinical excellence and patient experience. The Tech CA responsibilities usually include – but are not limited to – the following: New Patient Consultations; Exams and Supportive Exercises or therapies. They also handle all the supportive Procedures behind these Patient Processes. A great Tech CA will be a person who loves to be busy. They want to move. They would die behind the front desk or sitting and doing hours of paperwork. They want to work with people and they love the clinical side of patient care. They are intrigued with the healing process and they like to be involved in the management of each case. They take ownership of their roles and responsibilities and they are naturally curious, interested and excited about Chiropractic. The Tech CA has a major impact on Patient Care, Results and Retention. They are very empathetic and good at listening and responding with the intention of truly understanding. Scan Tech CAs are comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds and are good at matching energy and tone and finding creative ways to explain chiropractic so it is understandable.
Responsibilities:
- Perform new patient intake appointments
- Perform consultations that allow us to understand the patient’s history and their emotional connection to their problem and why they are seeking care
- Deliver chiropractic education and assessment explanation to create patients that understand the true cause of their problem
- Perform assessments initially & incrementally during care with accuracy
- Give detailed reports about patient’s nervous system performance throughout care and lead patients through education so they understand the care, healing process, and the value of lifetime family chiropractic care
- Explain tailored exercise programs or additional health/wellness tips from the docs to patients
- Communicate any patient notes/updates with team members and/or doctors so further communication or care adjustments can be made appropriately and efficiently
- Complete patient checklists and charting after appointments
- Answer and handle patient objections with confidence and accuracy
- Ensure patients are meeting doctor recommendations so they reach their goals including attending workshops
- Generate internal referrals and testimonials by celebrating successes of current patients and with bold communication
Hours: Full Time - Average 36-38 hours
Regular Schedule is as follows:
- Monday 6:30am-11:30am & 1:00pm-6:30pm
- Tuesday 6:30am-11:30am & 1:30pm-6:30pm
- Wednesday 12:00pm-6:30pm
- Thursday 6:30am-12:00pm & 1:30pm-5:30pm
Special Scheduling Notes:
- Some later evening, lunchtime or weekend events (e.g. Workshops, Health Talks, etc.)
- Weekly Schedule will be determined based on office needs, team meeting times, and external marketing events - as much notice as possible will be given for deviations to regular schedule.
- Flexibility is expected around office closures, holidays, and event support
