Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Sous Chef/Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Your leadership will ensure smooth kitchen flow, efficient food production, and outstanding service in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while managing a team committed to excellence.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, consistency, and creativity, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising staff, managing shift workflows, and ensuring timely food delivery.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures, proper food handling, and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe dining environment.
Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, inventory management, and cost control to optimize food quality and operational efficiency.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering teamwork, training new employees, and ensuring high performance standards are met.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, minimizing waste, and ordering supplies as needed.
Support catering events and banquet services by coordinating food preparation and presentation for large groups or special occasions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in fine dining establishments with a strong background in food production and culinary techniques.
Supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling practices.
Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently, including inventory control and cost management.
Experience with menu planning, catering services, banquet preparation, and shift management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
Familiarity with the food industry standards for quality assurance in both restaurant management and food service environments.
Excellent cooking skills complemented by knowledge of dietary requirements and special dietary department considerations.
