Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Die and or Mold Maker to fabricate, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, and molds. In this role, you will interpret blueprints, and utilize advanced machining techniques to produce high-quality tooling. This position is ideal for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our machining team. Whether you are an experienced machinist looking for a stable shop or a mechanically inclined individual with strong common sense looking to launch a career in manufacturing, we want to hear from you. We are fully willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Analyze complex blueprints, 3-D CAD models, and engineering specifications to plan the tooling fabrication sequence
Fabricate custom dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and tooling parts with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Perform precision measurements with calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments to verify dimensions.

Skills

Hands-on experience with metal stamping dies and or plastics injection mold tooling is a plus.
Skilled in manual machining techniques including milling, turning on lathe machines, grinding, welding, and fabrication.
Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of shop math and measurement techniques for quality control.
Experience working in a toolroom environment with a focus on manufacturing tooling or stamping presses.
Knowledge of shop safety procedures related to metalworking equipment.
Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gages, and gages for quality assurance.
