Company Acorn Technology Services is a provider of Managed Information Technology Services (“MITS”). We believe that all businesses, regardless of size and industry, are increasingly dependent on information technology, but find the understanding and management of IT to be a distraction from the activities that are essential to their business success. Acorn Technology Services offers high quality, reasonably priced, dependable IT solutions, thereby allowing its customers to focus on their core competencies.
Job Summary
The Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) is a high-level executive role responsible for serving as the primary strategic customer advisor across Acorn’s partner portfolio. As part of our redesigned project and service delivery model, the vCIO acts as an executive IT planner and business partner, offering objective, unbiased guidance grounded in multi-industry experience. This position oversees long-term technology roadmapping, executive advisory, and IT budget optimization while providing strategic direction to Account Managers (AMs) and Project Managers (PMs) who report directly into the vCIO structure to execute account alignment and critical project plans. Operating in a discretionary hybrid capacity, the vCIO aligns technology investments with overarching client business goals to drive growth and future-proof partner organizations.

- Strategic Account Expansion (NRR): Identify strategic technology gaps and transformation needs within client environments to generate new project opportunities and scope expansions that support partner business growth.
- Strategic Cadence & KPIs: Maintain a consistent executive Customer Business Review (CBR) cadence across assigned partner accounts, driving high client retention, Net Promoter Scores (NPS/CSAT), and roadmap adoption rates.
- Team Direction & Oversight: Direct and lead dedicated Account Managers (responsible for budgeting, forecasting, alignment reporting, and opportunity management) and Project Managers (responsible for project plans, timelines, budgets, and out-of-scope items) reporting into the vCIO structure.
