About The Wheel Group (TWG)

The Wheel Group (TWG) is a leading automotive aftermarket company with 14 industry-recognized brands specializing in wheels, tires, suspension, and accessories. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team in Ontario, California.

This role is responsible for developing and managing demand forecasts across a large product portfolio, ensuring inventory availability while optimizing stock levels across multiple warehouse locations. The ideal candidate is data-driven, collaborative, and passionate about turning market insights into actionable planning strategies that support business growth and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain SKU-level forecasts across product categories, sales channels, and regions.
Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning
Manage an 18-month rolling demand forecast using historical sales data, seasonality, market trends, promotions, and product lifecycle information.
Adjust forecasts for new product introductions, fitment-driven demand, and changing market conditions.
Monitor demand signals and identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
Support inventory planning efforts to balance product availability and working capital objectives.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

Participate in monthly S&OP meetings and planning cycles.
Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to capture market intelligence, promotional plans, and customer demand trends.
Collaborate with Operations and Finance to align inventory investment decisions with business goals.
Provide data-driven recommendations and challenge assumptions to improve planning outcomes.

Analytics & Reporting

Analyze demand trends, seasonality, and regional performance across product categories.
Monitor and report key metrics including forecast accuracy, forecast bias, service levels, and inventory health.
Develop dashboards and reporting tools that support operational and executive decision-making.
Identify root causes of forecast variances and implement corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement

Improve forecasting models, planning processes, and reporting capabilities.
Support enhancements to ERP, planning, and business intelligence tools.
Drive best practices in demand planning, inventory management, and supply chain analytics.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Analytics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, or Inventory Planning.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
Experience managing large SKU portfolios and multi-location inventory networks.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments and leadership levels.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Automotive aftermarket, manufacturing, distribution, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience.
APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent.
Experience with ERP and demand planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or similar.
Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence platforms.
Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods.
Python or R experience is a plus.
