Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Receivable Clerk and become a vital part of our organization! In this role, you will manage the accounts receivable process while also providing financial administrative support to executive leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of customer payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with the processing and scheduling of company expenses. Your expertise in accounting systems, financial concepts, and customer service will drive efficiency and support our commitment to financial integrity.

Responsibilities

Process incoming customer payments through various financial software platforms
Generate customer invoices, post payments, and monitor outstanding accounts to ensure timely collections.
Reconcile accounts receivable ledger entries using Excel data analysis, formulas, and account reconciliation techniques.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Conduct data entry with a high degree of accuracy, including 10-key typing and bookkeeping practices.
Communicate professionally with customers via phone and email to resolve payment issues, answer billing questions, and negotiate payment arrangements when appropriate.
Collaborate with accounts payable and other finance team members to ensure smooth financial operations across departments.
Assist executive leadership with processing and scheduling company payments, including rent, medical bills, utilities, phone bills and other operating expenses.
Monitor payment due dates to ensure all company obligations are paid accurately and on time.
Maintain organized records and supporting documentation for company expenditures, vendor payments, journal entries, and account adjustments to ensure audit readiness.
Handle confidential financial information with professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Experience

Proven experience in accounting or finance with a focus on accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or related functions.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, account reconciliation, and financial data analysis.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with professional phone etiquette.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, manage recurring payment schedules, and meet deadlines.
