About Us
Plastic Surgery Studios is an established digital agency (since 1999) specializing in top-tier medical aesthetic marketing. We don't just build websites — we build brand-driven narrative experiences that convert. We've spent the last few years rebuilding our own workflow around AI-assisted design and development, and we're looking for someone who's already living that way of working.
About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Web Designer & Developer who treats AI tools as a core part of the craft, not a shortcut around it. You already have deep technical expertise in WordPress and a strong design eye — and on top of that, you've built real fluency with AI-assisted workflows: generating and iterating on layouts, speeding up asset production, prototyping copy and content structure, debugging code faster, and using AI to explore more creative directions in less time.
This is not a junior position, and it's not a "prompt and publish" role either. We'll teach you the nuances of the medical aesthetic industry. But you should already have mastery of your tools — traditional and AI-assisted alike — and know when to lean on AI and when your own judgment should lead. You'll take complex, custom client projects from concept through launch, working directly with clients to define the aesthetics and functionality of their sites.
What You'll Do
Design & Visual Storytelling
- Build brand-driven user journeys across all media channels
- Design landing pages, graphics, and branded marketing assets — using AI-assisted tools to speed up ideation, moodboarding, and iteration in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Produce short-form videos, reels, motion elements, and visual stories, incorporating AI tools for generation and editing where they genuinely improve the result
Development & Technical Execution
- Build custom WordPress themes from scratch using modern coding standards (HTML5, SCSS/Sass, JavaScript, PHP)
- Use AI coding assistants to move faster through development — while still owning code quality, structure, and maintainability yourself
- Ensure blazing-fast performance, clean content structure, and optimized media
- Meet WCAG accessibility standards on every build
Strategy & Collaboration
- Run UX/UI audits to continually improve usability and conversion
- Manage multiple client accounts and shifting priorities without missing deadlines
- Maintain and evolve our design systems and reusable component libraries
- Help shape how our team uses AI tools — sharing workflows, shortcuts, and lessons learned with the rest of the team
What You Bring
Non-Negotiables
- 3+ years of experience in a digital agency, fast-paced web studio, or similar, handling end-to-end projects
- Genuine day-to-day comfort using AI tools in your design and/or development process — not just occasional experimentation
- Excellent client-facing communication and sharp problem-solving skills
- A standout portfolio with both high-end design and custom development samples
- Expert-level responsive design, visual storytelling, and UX/UI judgment
- Advanced HTML5, SCSS/Sass, JavaScript, PHP, and custom WordPress theme development
Bonus Points
- Experience with AI-assisted video/motion editing tools
- Familiarity with Shopify, WooCommerce, and Squarespace
- A track record of building or improving AI-assisted workflows for a team, not just for yourself
- Formal education in Web Design, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or related field
