Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to the overall dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in various food service settings, including catering. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and work within a dynamic kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Assist with menu planning and meal preparation for daily service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
Assist in plating and presentation of dishes for service
Support the team during busy hours, ensuring timely food delivery
Participate in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and quality control

Skills

Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations
Fine dining experience or restaurant experience is highly desirable
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good understanding of the food industry standards and culinary techniques
