Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team. In this fast-paced role, you will serve as the vital link between the kitchen staff and front-of-house service, ensuring that food is prepared, plated, and delivered with precision and efficiency. Your energetic approach will help maintain smooth kitchen operations, uphold food quality standards, and deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests. If you thrive in a lively environment and possess a passion for food service excellence, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving hospitality setting. (This IS NOT a supervisory position)

Duties

Coordinate the timely assembly and delivery of dishes from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
Communicate clearly with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff to prioritize orders and resolve any issues promptly
Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation before serving to guarantee guest satisfaction
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing dishes to meet quality standards
Manage the flow of orders on the pass station, ensuring smooth transitions between kitchen stations during busy service times
Support food safety protocols by handling dishes with care and maintaining cleanliness in work areas
Works well with team members to uphold a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or casual dining restaurant is REQUIRED
Knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and food handling safety standards
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and servers
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Basic culinary knowledge including cooking techniques and food presentation skills
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices
Customer service orientation with a friendly, energetic attitude
