Outside Sales Representative – New Business Development

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven Outside Sales Representative whose primary focus is generating new business. This is not an account management position—it is a true hunter role for someone who enjoys prospecting, opening doors, and consistently closing new customers.

The ideal candidate has a proven history of developing significant new business revenue, thrives in manufacturing and industrial sales environments, and is energized by building relationships from the ground up. This person is competitive, resilient, tech-savvy, and motivated by unlimited earning potential while representing a company known for quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan focused on generating significant new business and long-term revenue growth.
Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities through cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, and in-person visits.
Build relationships with manufacturers, consumer product companies, food & beverage brands, nutraceutical companies, cosmetics companies, and other businesses that use pressure-sensitive labels and custom packaging solutions.
Schedule and conduct customer meetings, product presentations, and facility visits to understand customer needs and position Miles Label Company's capabilities.
Leverage CRM, prospecting tools, and sales technology, including Zoho CRM, LinkedIn, Seamless.AI (or similar platforms), Microsoft Office, and Zoom, to identify, qualify, manage, and advance sales opportunities.
Prepare quotes, develop pricing strategies, and confidently negotiate pricing, specifications, and contracts while balancing customer needs with company objectives.
Collaborate closely with estimating, customer service, operations, and production teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial opportunity through production and delivery.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline activity, customer communications, and opportunity tracking within Zoho CRM.
Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual new business revenue goals.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive offerings, emerging technologies, and market opportunities to identify new avenues for growth.
Represent Miles Label Company with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service, fostering long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals.

Qualifications

3+ years of outside B2B sales experience preferred.
Demonstrated success in generating at least $1 million annually in new business, with a history of building multi-million-dollar books of business over time.
Proven success in prospecting, developing, and closing new business in a hunter sales role.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building abilities.
Comfortable making cold calls and prospecting daily.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
Experience selling pressure-sensitive labels, packaging, printing, or other manufacturing solutions strongly preferred.
Existing relationships within manufacturing, consumer products, food & beverage, wine & spirits, nutraceutical, cosmetics, or related industries are highly desirable.
Comfortable using CRM platforms (Zoho preferred), virtual meeting tools, and modern sales prospecting platforms such as Seamless.AI, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar technologies.

Compensation

Base Salary: $65,000–75,000 (depending on experience)

Uncapped commission: 3% on all new business

Accelerators: 4% after $1M, 5% after $2M

Bonuses: Milestone bonuses for hitting annual targets

(Realistic first-year earnings: $90,000 –$140,000, top performer potential: $200,000+)
