DreamCharacters is looking for enthusiastic, outgoing, and reliable performers to bring magic and excitement to children's birthday parties, community events, school functions, and corporate celebrations throughout Southern California.
What You'll Do
- Perform as popular character mascots and costume characters.
- Engage with children through dancing, games, high-fives, and interactive entertainment.
- Create fun, memorable experiences for every guest.
- Arrive on time, maintain a professional appearance, and represent DreamCharacters with excellence.
Qualifications
- Must love working with children.
- Energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic personality.
- Weekend availability is required (most events take place Saturdays and Sundays).
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Must own a dependable vehicle and be willing to drive to and from event locations.
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable wearing mascot costumes and performing in front of groups.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and remain active during performances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates who live within 15 miles of Whittier, CA are highly preferred.
- Experience in entertainment, theater, dance, childcare, customer service, or education is a plus—but no experience is necessary! We provide training for the right candidates.

- Primarily weekends
- Additional weekday opportunities may be available based on bookings.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
Application Question(s):
- Are you fully mobile and do you have access to a reliable vehicle? A personal vehicle is required for this position, as performers must transport costumes and supplies from our home base to event locations and back.
- Where are you currently located? Our home base is in Whittier, CA, and we prefer performers to be located within a 15-mile radius. Please note that performers are required to pick up and return costumes from our Whittier location on a weekly basis. Costume pickup and drop-off are unpaid; however, performers are compensated for events worked and receive paid mileage for events.
