The Perfect Event, Inc. (TPE) is a one-stop shop event planning and production company. The key difference between TPE and other event companies is that we will not only plan the event from A to Z but we also provide nearly all of the services and equipment directly without the need for any third parties. TPE provides in-house Event Planning, Event Management, Full Scale A/V Production, Security Guards, DJs, Photographers, Videographers, and Bus Transportation. We handle the full spectrum of events including College Parties, Proms, Festivals, Weddings, and Corporate Events. The depth of services provided along with the experience in planning and producing such a vast array of event types is what leads to The Perfect Event servicing over 600 events per year!

Job Title: Audio/Video Production Manager

Job Description:

As a Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the flawless execution of all our events from start to finish. You will work with the Production Director to manage and coordinate all technical aspects of our productions, including warehouse prep, staffing, lighting design and programming, audio engineering, staging, electrical/power, and rigging. Your expertise and leadership will be essential in delivering high-quality and memorable experiences for our clients and audiences.

**Responsibilities:**

- Work with Production Director to oversee and manage the entire production department, ensuring the successful execution of all events.

- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process.

- Supervise and mentor the production team, both in the warehouse and on job sites.

- Coordinate with clients, event organizers, and artists to understand their vision and technical requirements for each event.

- Design and program lighting setups to create visually captivating experiences.

- Handle audio engineering, ensuring optimal sound quality and system integration.

- Manage staging and rigging setups, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.

- Manage power and electrical setup including proper tie ins to generators and/or circuit breakers

- Maintain a strong focus on responsible and safe work practices, ensuring the well-being of staff and event attendees.

- Acquire and maintain necessary certifications, such as OSHA and ETCP, to ensure compliance and knowledge of safety regulations.

- Collaborate with other departments, including sales and operations, to ensure seamless event execution.

- Work flexible hours, including loading equipment during the day and attending events during evenings and weekends.

- Frequent travel may occur during busy seasons throughout Southern California.

**Qualifications:**

- Extensive experience in lighting design and programming, audio engineering, staging, and rigging within the entertainment industry.

- Proven track record of successfully managing a production department and delivering flawless event experiences.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

- In-depth knowledge of industry-standard equipment and technologies.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.

- Outstanding organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the ability to implement safety protocols effectively.

- OSHA and ETCP certifications are highly desired, or willingness to acquire them.

- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
