Qualifications

A Food Handlers Health Card is necessary.

Prior experience in a fast casual restaurant is preferred.

Prior experience working as a cook is preferred.

Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Capable of working efficiently and with speed.

Able to stay calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Possess manual dexterity for handling cooking tools like knives.

Experience as a prep cook could be beneficial.

Strong skills in teamwork and communication.

Completion of culinary school training would be advantageous.

Ability to follow and comprehend the brand's recipe book.

Familiarity with cooking measurements to accurately portion ingredients and seasonings.

Driven to achieve goals, open to learning, and receptive to coaching for improvement.

Maintain a positive outlook and attitude.

Collaborate effectively as a team member

Requirements:

•Comprehend and adhere to food safety protocols at all times.

•Maintain a consistently clean and hygienic environment.

•Understand and comply with kitchen safety procedures when handling knives, hot pans, etc.

•Follow precise measurements for ingredients and seasonings used in cooking.

•Assist the cook with daily preparation tasks, including washing vegetables, cutting/dicing/chopping produce, and marinating meats.

•Follow the prep list created by the cooks to plan duties.

•Label and stock all ingredients on shelves to ensure organization and easy access.

•Assist in fulfilling and executing catering orders and participate in special events.

•Understand methods to control costs through waste management and follow the process for logging waste.

•Conduct daily temperature checks to accurately record and track items for thawing and cooling.

•Perform various other daily restaurant activities, such as completing cleaning tasks, checklists, and secondary duties.

•Take pride in serving fresh, high-quality food to our customers.

•Provide an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.

•Always wear a smile, prioritize safety, show respect, and enjoy the work

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
