Full Job Description

The Senior Microsoft Power Platform Consultant/Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, implementation, and support of enterprise-scale Microsoft Business Applications solutions. This role requires deep expertise across the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and API integrations. This Solution Architect will have strong experience in business analysis, business architecture, program management, project management, functional consulting, quality assurance, and end-user training, with the ability to translate strategic business requirements into scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade solutions. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, facilitate architectural design sessions, provide technical leadership, and ensure successful delivery of interconnected business applications aligned with organizational strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of a Senior Microsoft Power Platform Consultant.

Solution Architecture & Design

Lead solution architecture, design, and implementation of complex Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 solutions.
Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, enterprise-grade technical solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Design end-to-end business application architecture across:
Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven Apps)
Power Automate Cloud Flows
Power BI
Power Pages
Microsoft Dataverse
SharePoint Online
Dynamics 365
Azure integration services
Establish architectural standards, best practices, governance models, and solution design patterns.

Business Analysis & Functional Consulting

Lead and facilitate design, discovery, and architectural workshops with business stakeholders and clients.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and business processes.
Provide expert guidance on:
Solution design best practices
Platform capabilities and limitations
Functional configuration
Business process optimization
User experience design
Align technical solutions with strategic business objectives and enterprise architecture.

Application Development & Platform Configuration

Design, develop, configure, and deploy:
Custom business applications
Automated workflows
Dashboards and analytics solutions
External-facing portals
System integrations
Develop reusable components and enterprise-grade low-code solutions.
Configure and customize Microsoft Business Applications to support operational requirements.

API Integration & Enterprise Connectivity

Design and implement integrations using:
REST APIs
SOAP APIs
Microsoft Graph API
Custom Connectors
Azure Functions
Azure Logic Apps
Webhooks
Third-party APIs
Integrate Microsoft Power Platform solutions with external enterprise systems and services.
Design and document data mapping, transformation logic, and integration architecture.
Troubleshoot API authentication, authorization, and connectivity issues.

Testing, Quality Assurance & Documentation

Create and maintain:
Functional design documents
Technical specifications
Data mapping documentation
Test plans
Test scripts
Deployment documentation
Governance documentation
Conduct end-to-end system testing and validation.
Ensure quality, compliance, and performance of project deliverables.

Leadership, Governance & Project Delivery

Manage and coordinate multiple interrelated projects.
Drive governance, environment strategy, Application Lifecycle Management, and deployment pipeline best practices.

Training & Change Management

Design and deliver end-user training programs and materials.
Lead user adoption initiatives and organizational change management activities.
Support stakeholder engagement and ensure successful platform adoption.

Required Qualifications

5–7 years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform experience
Proven experience with:
Microsoft Power Apps
Power Automate
Power BI
Power Pages
Microsoft Dataverse
Dynamics 365
SharePoint Online
Strong experience working with APIs and enterprise integrations
Deep understanding of:
Microsoft Power Platform architecture
Solution lifecycle management (ALM)
Governance and security
Environment strategy
Data modeling
Role-based security
Experience facilitating architecture and requirements workshops
Strong documentation and testing experience
Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
