Position Summary

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering outstanding guest service while efficiently managing all front desk operations. This role requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, service-oriented, and committed to providing every guest with a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude.
Provide efficient check-in and check-out services while ensuring accuracy in all guest transactions.
Process reservations, room assignments, upgrades, and payment authorizations.
Recognize IHG One Rewards members and promote loyalty program enrollment.
Answer guest questions, provide local recommendations, and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system while maintaining exceptional guest service.
Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Monitor arrivals, departures, room inventory, room status, and special requests.
Maintain accurate guest records and documentation.
Follow all hotel safety, security, cash-handling, and brand standards.
Stay informed of daily events, VIP arrivals, group activity, and hotel promotions.
Assist with additional operational duties and support fellow team members as business needs require.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum one year of hotel front desk, guest service, or hospitality experience preferred.
HotelKey PMS, IHG, or branded hotel experience is highly preferred.
Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel management systems quickly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be available to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as business demands require.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Ability to answer and manage a high-volume, multi-line telephone system.
Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive movements as required.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
