JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the processing of all daily shipping and packing activities, ensuring timely delivery to our customers and processing of purchase orders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Shipping:
- Assist Warehouse Supervisor with incoming and outgoing shipping daily activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Assist, prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule and customer specifications (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
- Receives, reviews, unpacks, inspects and stores incoming rework orders from suppliers and/or customers returns.
- Uses ERP system to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders and responsible for paperwork internal distribution of, i.e. outgoing product packing slips for shipments and/or labels.
- Assist Shipping and Receiving Associate III with information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments and to assist verifying against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Follow quality standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Generate barcodes for scanning for warehouse location of finished goods.
Purchasing:
- Create, review and process purchase orders in the company’s procurement ERP system.
- Validate purchase requisition for accuracy, budget alignment and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper coding, documentation, and approval of workflow completion.
- Ensure correct vendor details, pricing, quantities, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor PO status and follow up with vendors for order confirmation.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and ERP Systems.
- Attention to detail.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma / GED
- 1-3 years of experience on warehouse manufacturing in an automated (MRP/ERP) environment.
- Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and anything over requires help and/or handling equipment. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand for periods of time, walk and reach with hands and arms.
