Full Job Description

Description

The Department of Ophthalmology and Doheny Eye Center at UCLA are seeking a junior to mid-level Ophthalmologist to support the Doheny Eye Center in Fountain Valley, at 40% time.

Patient Care services include:

Clinical Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive examinations for patients with ophthalmic disease focusing on periorbital diseases, ptosis, thyroid eye disease, and facial trauma.

Reconstructive Surgery: Perform complex surgeries such as entropion/ectropion corrections, orbital decompressions, socket reconstruction, and tear duct (dacryocystorhinostomy) procedures.
Cosmetic Procedures: Execute functional and cosmetic blepharoplasty, brow lifts, and aesthetic facial injections (e.g., Botox, dermal fillers).
Patient Care: Develop personalized treatment plans, manage pre-operative and post-operative care, and order diagnostic tests like CT or MRI scans.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

MD or DO
Board-eligible or board-certified in Ophthalmology
Completion of an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency
Active/Eligible California medical license
Advanced microsurgical skills, an in-depth understanding of the periorbital anatomy, and high aesthetic precision
