Full Job Description

Candidate MUST have active STRTP Administrator Certification. This position will oversee two STRTP facilities.

The STRTP Administrator acts as an authorized agent to correct deficiencies that threaten the general welfare and safety of the children at the STRTP Facility. This position also facilitates in the development of short and long-term goals. The administrator may also facilitate in a multitude of areas to ensure the continued delivery of quality service and daily supervision of overall operations; ensuring that all Agency policies and procedures are correctly implemented, followed, maintained; in compliance with Contract Agreements with the County, Interim Licensing Standards ILS, Community Care Licensing Title 22 Regulations and in compliance with State and Federal Employment Labor Laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Direction and evaluation of a facility within the limits of the functions and policies established by the licensee.
Preparation of the facility’s budget and management of expenditures according to the facility’s budget limitations
Organization of the work of the facility and delegation of responsibility to staff members.
Assessment of the facility operations and program; and reporting to the licensee and making recommendations to address identified problems.
Recruitment, appointment, evaluation and termination of staff.
Development of a plan for the orientation, development and training of staff.
Review of complaints made by children or their authorized representative(s).
Ensures the safety and well-being of residents, submits Special Incident Reports as needed, writes corrective action plans. Reports special incidents to the Executive Director/Supervisor.
Meets with school personnel, community care licensing, and DCFS/Probations representatives as required.
Observing and interacting with staff, children, and other individuals, as necessary to ensure the quality of care for children and program services.
Any other duties that may be necessary to manage and administer the STRTP.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SELECTION GUIDELINES

The administrator shall meet one of the following requirements:

Have a master’s degree in a behavioral science from an accredited college or university, plus a minimum of one year of employment as a social worker, in an agency serving children or in a group residential program for children.
Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least one year of administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, child Care, and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of seven or more.
Must have STRTP Administrator Certificate
