Full Job Description

Allies Tax Services is seeking a licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) to join our growing team of tax professionals. The primary role will be to represent individual and corporate clients before the IRS in order to assist with their tax matters. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled tax professional with a strong understanding of federal tax laws and regulations, along with the initiative and drive to effectively move cases forward.

Key Responsibilities

Client Representation

Represent individual and corporate clients before the IRS and assist in resolving tax issues.
Communicate directly with the IRS regarding case status, negotiations, and compliance matters.

Tax Preparation

Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, and 1041.

Tax Planning

Develop and implement strategic tax planning solutions to help clients minimize liabilities and maintain compliance.

Tax Research

Conduct research on complex tax matters and provide clear, informed recommendations.

Compliance

Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal tax laws and regulations.

Negotiations

Handle IRS negotiations including:
Offer in Compromise (OIC)
Penalty Abatement
Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status

Collaboration & Case Management

Work collaboratively with internal teams to support case progression and client communication.
Maintain organized documentation and detailed case notes.

Professional Development

Stay current on tax law changes and industry trends through continuing education.

Qualifications

Active Enrolled Agent (EA) certification from the IRS.
Must have CAF # & PTIN
1-2 years of experience as an Enrolled Agent or in a similar tax preparation role.
Experience with IRS and State tax laws and regulations
Experience handling tax negotiations (OIC, Penalty Abatement, CNC)

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of federal tax laws and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in tax preparation software
Self-motivated with the drive to move cases forward efficiently

Schedule & Work Environment

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
40 hours per week with flexibility when needed
Paid holidays to recharge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
