Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Metal Fabrication Supervisor and lead the charge in delivering high-quality metal fabrication projects across diverse construction sites. In this energetic role, you will oversee daily operations within the fabrication shop and on-site activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision in every task. Your expertise will drive the successful completion of complex projects involving sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural components, all while maintaining compliance with industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape a skilled team dedicated to excellence in manufacturing and construction.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate metal fabrication activities on-site and in the workshop, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols
Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to produce precise components
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes
Manage welding operations including MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), <LOCATION> welding, and Soldering to meet quality standards
Conduct inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
Lead rigging and crane operations for lifting heavy materials safely during fabrication and installation phases
Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels and piping systems while maintaining manufacturing quality

Skills

Extensive sheet metal fabrication experience with a solid understanding of site safety procedures
Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, <LOCATION> welding, Soldering, and plasma cutting techniques
Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment for precise fabrication
Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, assembly processes, ductwork fabrication, and sheet metal work
Experience operating forklifts and understanding rigging procedures for heavy lifting tasks
Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication work
